I really HATE taking flu shots, I only do it when forced to do so.

When I first met my wife's parents, they tried to talk me into getting the flu shot - I told them it makes me deathly ill, and I'm sick for two weeks. They didn't believe me, and eventually coerced me into getting the flu shot. I was sick for two weeks, and was running a fever of 104. After that they didn't try to make me do that again. Not everyone has a good reaction to the flu shot. I have a very strong immune system, and when I get the shot, it wreaks havoc with my body. All that garbage in the shot makes me sick instead of keeping me from getting sick.

Yet, on the other hand, when I don't get the flu shot, I might get sick for 2 to 3 days, and then I'm just fine. And while I'm sick it's nothing more than the sniffles and a runny nose the whole time.

I already got the flu shot. The flu shot contains a very small amount of the actual flu in order to help build up your immune system. While you may get some symptoms from the flu shot, it is much better than getting a full blown flu because you didnt take it

Why would you want to get the flu shot so you can get the flu? A rather silly question, don't you think?

Some people NEED to get flu shot as precautions because they may be at a higher risk. Some elderly people, people with certain medical condition or certain type of disability are more at risk of serious complications if they get the flu so they need to get them every year.

there are a number of lines of flu and all are actually not lined via this shot. i found out in simple terms at the instant terrific thank you to handle the flu is to decrease an onion in 0.5 and place in a bowl in the room you're in and flu would be long gone. Onions suck up the germ. I heard this worked rather nicely in the process the flu epidemic of 1918. I instructed a chum approximately this over the weekend, which additionally helped her.

It's recommended for older people whose immune systems are not well because of illness and disease. Even though I'm only 53 I'm supposed to get it because of Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure. So I've received it almost every year since I was diagnosed with Diabetes and that has been almost 15 years now. Same reason with anybody really if they have chronic illnesses and diseases. And I haven't had a bad case of the flu for a long time because of the shots.

The vaccine is made of a dilute mixture of dead virus. That dilute mixture - it enough to stimulate your immune system to produce antibodies against that virus strain.
Do I get a flu shot every year? No. And, I'm a nurse, working in a hospital. They save enough doses for us before they start giving the shots to the public. Somebody else can have my dose. I hate shots, and don't have all that much faith in them. The flu virus mutates, so what was the virus last year isn't this years flavor - or possibly the one that will be here in 6 months.
