My fish was suffering from a floating desease, Which after checking websites and Yahoo answers, it was confirmed that my fancy goldfish was suffering from Swim Bladder. After reading a question, i found a cure and it seems to be working. After looking at my fish again, i found black dots. Not finrot, some fungal thing. I left to the petstore and found a goof-proof tablet cure for numerous deseases that your fish can have, goof-proof meaning that if my fish does not have fungus or anything he will be unharmed. I grabbed a carton of freshwater fish deseas curing salt, and back home i did as I read. I removed His tank mate, (i don't breed but it cost less to house 2 fishes in one spacious tank, then pay for 2 spacious bowls.) I put the other in a hamster traveling case, about 1 foot high and 1 ft. and a 1/2 long. I gave tablets to both fish, just in case, and now the sick one is able to resist the urge to flop over when he comes up for air, and his spots are clearing up!

I'm glad it is getting better and that they are in something bigger. If you don't already get them a filter and they should improve even more.

Wow thats amazing, it lovely to hear success stories about people's fish/pets. And it's amazing that your fish's swim bladder fixed itself, it can be done, but 9 out of 10 the fish always dies, so congratulations! What is the name of the fixing cure? Would like to get some. You can email me via my profile.

We got advice from an animal expert and he advised us to use aquarium salt daily according to package directions. It helps a great deal in keeping diseases at bay and helps the fish feel less stress. Best luck to you.
