I HAVE to look good!?

Question

Okay, so there's this guy I like.. and I want his attention, since we never talk. I think to start off I should use make-up. I have a medium-olive skin tone, and my skin-tone is uneven, but oily too. I need make-up tips! I look like this: http://myspace-906.vo.llnwd.net/01302/60/97/1302447906_l.jpg

First off...I can't completely see your face in that picture but from what I can see, your gorgeous, and your haircolor is amazing.
But anyways, for makeup...
Foundation: Start with Cover Girl Simply Powder Foundation and Cover Girl Invisible Concealer to even out your skin tone and control oil. Then apply a small amount of bronzer such as Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Bronzer all over your face for a natural glow.
Eyes: On your entire eyelid, apply a simple brown shade of eyeshadow like Milani Eyeshadow Compacts in Golden Bronze. Then, on your brow bone apply Milani Eyeshadow Compacts in Peachy Peach. Last, On your crease apply Milani Eyeshadow Compacts in Spice. Then, subtly blend them with a q-tip. Line your eyes with Milani Eyeliner Pencil in Brown black, and top it off with some mascara such as Maybelline Volume Express in Very Black.
Lips: Finally put on Maybelline Shiny Licious Lipgloss in Lolly Pink for some color...and you're good!

You're very pretty, doesn't look like you need much make up. However Mary Kay has the BEST cover up. Or MAC make up, and there's a few others out there. But for foundation find a color comprable to your skin tone, nothing too drastically different, don't cake it on either, that looks gross, just a light coat to even you skin toan out, and use a makeup brush (like for blush) and dab a little baby powder (or use powder foundation) on your face afterwords to get rid of some of the oily skin. If you don't usually use makeup then you should go mellow...and not too dramatic. It will look garish.

Go with either a oil-free foundation stick or foundation in your skin tone. The stick you can use for spots....the foundation for all over. Either way use a sponge (triangle) to smooth it out and take off excess.

You want to look natural...but better than natural.

Use a light eyeshadow from your brow to lashes. Then use a light brown in your crease...like a vee pattern...around the outer corner of your eye. Use light colors.

Alma has a great light color eyeshadow trio that goes with eye colors...and they have a diagram where to put it.

Top with Mascara.

Use a pink blush on the apples of your cheeks

Use a tinted lip gloss.

From what I can see your really pretty. I say use powder foundation, a very light pinkish blush to give you a flirtly look, eyeshadow to match your eyes or your clothes and always use two or more. Use a pink lip gloss. Also keep your hair out of your face. Your so preety and you lack so much confidence. Take it from me, you'll find yourself a lot prettier if you smile more an dtell yourself your prety and actually beleive... and other people will find you prettier too. Another thing talk to him as much as you can.. say hi in the hallway when you pass him by, get as close to him as you can at all times and flirt a little. Let him know you like him but not in an obvious way!

I know people say looks don't matter and that you're personality is what counts. But in order for someone who you don't talk to, to want to talk to you, your apperance will cause them to want to look at your personality. I suggest to first put on some foundation. This makes your skin look even and gets rid of blemishes. Over the foundation, put on a powder that is slightly darker than your skin to get a tanner look. Over the power put a light shimmer of pink blush over your cheakbones. This will give your face some nice color. Now for the important part: EYES. Eyes are what catches someone's attention so you want them to stand out. Don't over do it, but put some black eyeliner on and use mascara!! I would have to say that mascara is the most important piece of make-up. Mascara makes your eyes look very pretty and big. It makes them stand out. I love it!! And that's pretty much all you need. Just my opinion but I think you look pretty darn hot just the way you are right now. I know that's not what you want to hear (you need tips) but that's a guys opinion.

Regarding what I would like to see in the makeup department . . . something subtle. You already have natural beauty so highlight that beauty . . . I wouldn't use rouge, olive skin is attractive in its own way. Lipstick, I think you'd look awesome with a pink tint to it, something understated (very understated). Maybe some eyeliner? Not sure about that as your eyes, too, look good.

It's in your confidence level. Unless you're getting serious money I wouldn't go out to the mall and spend your college tuition. I suggest fixing your attitude to a more confident one and stop trying to tell yourself that you need this guy. You don't need anyone. They need you. That's how it always works. Don't try to make it the other way around, it wouldn't be fun being a tool, being used, getting emotionally attached, and ending up hurt. Just go out have fun, be yourself, and if you're not for one another, then you're not for one another. You know this. Don't look to anyone for their approval, simply take care of yourself to look how you want to look. If you want to look your best, it will have no correlation to anyone else. It will be because you want to look good. Not because you've been duped into thinking some chump has power over you or who you are. Experience Joy. That's the main purpose of your life. Go do it. But do it for you. That's confidence. And confidence in one's own skin, being who they are, is the sexiest thing a person could do. There is nothing sexier.

Aww man... don't use make up. You're a pretty girl. Don't use make-up! You know I once heard a guy give a definition of 'the perfect girl' his definition was: The perfect girl would be a girl that could jump into a pool with make-up on and come out looking just as beautiful'. I thought that was a great definition. I personally wouldn't use something that just covers up your natural beauty. But if you want to get to know the guy, talk to him. Most guys LOVE it when a girl has balls to talk to them first.

Well. Start with some foundations (noncomodegenic) but only put it on the uneven parts. Blend it in. And you could put some pretty colored lip gloss. And some brown eyeliner, on your bottom lashes. Then you can put some black mascara and brown eyeshadow. Or whatever color eyeshadow you want...
