I used to be able to create shortcuts on my desktop that would take me to favorite websites. But, now when I try to create a shortcut to a website and put it on my desktop and click on it, a gray window pops up that asks me to "open", "save" or "cancel", as if it were a file. It's not...it's a URL! I'm running Windows 2000 and IE 6.X. Also, Firefox, but I have the same problem with that ISP.

Adnan: That used to work, but it doesn't now. I get the icon on the desktop, but it doesn't take me to the website. It does what I explain the question, above.

Try bookmarking the web page or saving it to IE favorites. Computer's get fussy if you have to much stuff on your desktop.
