Curley's wife is sort of the "villain" of the story. She represents the "evil" in women: the original sin of Eve, vanity, lust...etc. She has no true identity: she is only "Curley's wife". She's another character that supports the theme of loneliness in the novel.
The fact that Curley's wife is described as "trouble" by almost every man at the ranch sure foreshadows something :D Read on to find out. Hope this helped.
