I don't think Kate has made a choice. Sure, Kate and Sawyer had sex, but, I really think that Kate thought that Sawyer was going to die the next day. I think Kate may have been thinking, If I couldn't get Jack to save Sawyer's life by operating on Ben, at least I can show him one last good time. Then, to Kate's surprise, Jack calls on the walkie talkie just as they are about to kill Sawyer! If you remember, after the sex, Sawyer says, Did you really mean it when you said you loved me? Kate says, I said it so they would stop beating you. Sawyer says, I love you too. I think there will be alot more of the Jack, Kate, Sawyer love triangle!

How I see it is that Jack's the better man for sticking with, Sawyer is the better fling. Sawyer and Kate might be better for each other in terms of their temperments, but I think Jack would be better for the long run.

She and Sawyer were made for each other. Jack would always be trying to "fix" her.
