A question for the British:What is the traditional drink taken when somebody sees someting on television?

I'm referring to an episode of "To the Manor Born",where the characters all drink a toast to something on the television.I would like to start this tradition at my family's Christmas this year.

They were probally toasting the Queen's speech?

Anything to my mind is acceptable.....probally champagne on Christmas Day though.

i'm undecided. All's i be attentive to is i'm on my own and afraid. all and sundry is scuffling with and phone calling, and all i opt for is a few grape kool-help and to play DDR. Is that too plenty to invite? is it?
