this is a tough choice as both achieve their best moments during the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals. anyway, either one of them will win it, no matter how the final voting will be.

honestly it is a tough question bc it will probably be the last time that Cannavaro plays during a world cup because by 2010 he will be 40 years old - Gigi is still young and does have time so it would be nice to see Cannavaro go out winning the best player award and stuff and he is an amazing player of course - Gigi is the best goal keeper in the world though so he is also definately very deserving of the award as well so it is a tuff call.
They are both great and deserve it !!!!!!!!!! I love the azzurri

I love both.. Cannavaro played amazing in World Cup but Buffon deserves it he was incredible.. remember when he got hurt by hitting his head off the post.. he kept playing most goalkeepers call it quits after a small injury.. shows how awsome Buffon is! also when he was yelling at Zidane sticking up for Marco and trying to explain to the referee what happend to Marco.. gosh Buffon is amazing

BUFFON!!! haha they both are very good but i think buffon is a little better. only two goals went pass him. one was a penalty goal and one was a self goal.
