I have my first job interview at a department store in a few days and I'm kind of a shy person. Does anyone have any tips?

Wear nice clothes, mind your manners, look groomed, say please and thank you. Ask questions but only a few, asking questions makes you look eagar to have and know about the company, but be knowledgeable about the job you will be preforming.

Well first of all, look professional( a nice suit or very professional slacks and a nice buttoned down shirt..)

-relax
-speak clearly and don't ramble on too much
-show confidence that you can do the job
-don't let your shyness show.

A shy person does not do well in sales or retail. So you must remain confident and let your personality shine.

Ask questions to the employer or manager that is interviewing you... like, "what's a typical day like on the job". Never ask about pay or the benefits. If you do, instant rejection. Smile and remain positive. You will be fine, if you need extra help...look on Yahoo Hotjobs! they have great interview tips, it helped me get my job. best wishes!! You will get the job!!!

1) Radiate confidence in whatever Field you're interviewing for
2) Dress for success in bossiness attire.
3) Make sure your well trimmed and look the best you can.
4) Forget about any concerns you have about doing the job or what the interviewer is thinking about you
5) Be polite and although you should ask a few questions don't ask too many about benefits package.
6) if you shake the interviewer's hand make sure it's comfortable not too strong and make sure your hands aren't sweaty.
Good luck!!!

DRESS NICE!! Dress appropriately for the job and then some.

Print a resume.

Relax. They are just people. They are used to dealing with applicants.
