Pull out the knife and move on. Best friends don't stab you in the back..... so perhaps the friendship was one-sided.
Best Wishes,
Sue

Stop being his or her best friend. You aren't supposed to just hang around and let him stab you some more you know.
P.S. Also try to forgive your best friend and make amends first, but if it happens a second time, than you better not wait and take a third stab.

Depends what they did. I was friends with my bf for 12 years u think you would know someone. We started a serious relationship and he went to Iraq for 8 months and I didn't hear from him. I worried. Turns out he came home for Thanksgiving and Christmas didn't even call me. Turns out he didn't want to be in a relationship but didn't know how to tell me. R u kidding me he could of sent a damn letter or ne thing. He never apologized to this day or explained himself. So if it wasn't unforgiveable then forgive them if u can.

i recently have dumped a relationship of 18 years with my best friend. i know i was a great friend to them(they are married straight couple with two children whom I'm godfather of both). i gave everything financially, emotionally, and physically to them. all they did was take, take, take. i recently moved and they never offered to help in any way. some of their personnel belongings were stored at my home. when i asked them to take responsibility of them by removing them, they told me to get rid of it myself. obviously there is a great deal more to this story. i can honestly say that i never did them wrong. i was to stupid to see that they weren't my friends.
these(friends) are part of a huge network of other great friends. so of course it has caused scandal, gossip, and misunderstanding.
as long as you know you didn't deserve to be stabbed, and you never stabbed your friend. i would watch every move your friend makes. hopefully he/she apologizes to you and means it.
never be afraid to confront somebody about a wrong doing to you. never do it amongst others. face to face. if he/she cant be honest to your face, then they are not worth having as a friend. good luck.

pull out the knife and get on with life. thats the only thing you can do, if this is a betrayal you can't 'forgive" make a clean break. tell them why and end it amicably, do NOT turn this into a hatred filled fued. life is far too short for such nonsense. wish them well and walk away............good luck!

I would talk to her first just to see what her reasoning was...and if it was totally unacceptable I would look for a new friend.
