I have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra and was wondering what kind of Convertible car seat will fit in my car. I really want to get a Fisher Price Car Seat (which is made by Britax), but if I can't get that one is there a cheaper one that I can get to fit my car.

See if the car manufacturer recommends a seat that fits best for their car. Also, some police departments have a car seat expert on staff who can help with that sort of thing.

I had a Britax Decathlon in my Elantra and it worked just fine size-wise. If you want something smaller and still very safe, try the Britax Roundabout. My Elantra was a 2003, which has about the same backseat size as the 2001.

I drive a 2006 BMW sedan. My baby's car seat is really big. To make it fit, you can put the seat in the middle or behind the passenger seat. If you decide to put the car seat behind the passenger seat, make sure you move the seat up.

all i can suggest is measuring the seat of your car and comparing it with the child seat display models at the store.
