This is copper oxide or cupric oxide or copper( II )oxide

4 Cu + )2---> 2Cu2O
Copper also combines with oxygen as Cu2O, cuprous oxide , or copper(I) oxide

you get copper to join with Oxygen to get Copper (II) Oxide
so the equation would be 4Cu + 2O2 ==> 4CuO
