I think it's down to all the slang used when sending text messages, people have just had enough, you can't just read it you have to work out the code, i know i can't be bothered with it at times, so don't reply. But you get a spell checker on here, so why are people still misspelling

They are detail people that get hung up on all of the letters out of order and get flustered/frustrated at having to work to put them "IN" order b4 they try to read it. Either that, or obsessive-compulsive types that demand the world conform to the WAY they insist upon, not the communication process itself.

As long as the first and last letters are in the right place, most "functional" brains can understand what the word is simply by word placement.
