Earthquakes happen all the time, and they're happening even right now. These kinds of Earthquakes are small quakes, but still identified as earthquakes. People usually don't feel them but they're earthquakes. Plus, earthquakes occur everywhere right now so this question needs to be more specific.

If you're asking, "When was the last major earthqake that occured?" the answer was I think in Hawaii, a couple months ago. I have no idea of the lat and long but it was somewhere 5-7 on the richter scale. No deaths were reported but some damage to buildings were reported.
