One of my favorite gifts for my friends, costing under $20, is a movie gift basket. I go get $5 gift certificates from Blockbuster (or wherever), buy plastic popcorn bucket or bowls at Walmart (Walgreens has them too) $1 a piece. Then I put microwave popcorn and candy....both from Walmart to fill the bucket. Wrap in cellophane and voila! You have a wonderful, homemade gift that all love. Girls or boys...

How about a GREAT gift that is free?

www.instaverse.com

The above web site will allow you to download a resident program for your computer that will pop-up any Bible verse (KJV) when you put the mouse over it in almost any web page or MS document. No looking it up, just read the pop-up when you put the mouse over the Bible reference. This program will also allow you to insert a verse into almost any MS or web program.

For example:
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
was inserted here using that program.

If you want more Bible versions (other than the KJV, which is free), they can be purchased through that program for less than a "hard-copy" would cost you.

Be careful of unintended results though. I asked a friend to send me the email addy for his mother, and he sent me a line that included "is 47, 1" in the text. When I accidentally pointed to that with my computer mouse, this is what popped up:
Isaiah 47:1
"Come down and sit in the dust,
O virgin daughter of Babylon;
Sit on the ground without a throne,
O daughter of the Chaldeans!
For you shall no longer be called tender and delicate.

You can go on Ebay and find perfect stuff for them. Like my friend REALLY likes Daniel Radcliffe from Harry Potter, I searched "Daniel Radcliffe signed pictures" and found this great picture for her. You could also buy clothes from Hollister, Abercrombie, Delia's, American Eagle... that's what I'm going to get my other friend. Here are the websites for them just in case you don't know =)...

www.hollisterco.com
www.abercrombie.com
www.delia's.com
www.ae.com

good luck!

Buy them a year subscription to their favorite magazine (at that age, probably cosmo girl, or seventeen) ......they won't have a package to open on christmas, but every month they'll all get their favorite magazines delivered to them because of you....it's the gift you KNOW they'll love all year long!

Make sure they don't already have a subscription.
