i had severe migraines for quite a long period of time, so my gp prescribed propanolol. (i'm assuming this is what you meant?)

i stopped taking these when i found out i was pregnant, though my doctor advised me that it would be safe to continue.

my daughter is almost nine and her health has always been very good. no apparent ill effects.

so...i don't know the statistics for this, but in my own personal experience it was all fine.

hope this helps :o)

Do you mean propanolol?

It's pregnancy category C., meaning that the risks to a fetus are unknown. Beta blockers are known to cause low blood pressure, slowed heart rate, and low blood sugar in the baby. Propanolol specifically is a pretty toxic beta blocker.

I suggest you discuss that with your doctor. ALL chemicals ingested by the mother may affect the baby. Some are tested on animals to see.... but we are not animals. Even doctors don't know everything, but they should know if there is evidence of birth defects from a medication.

If it is a problem, the doctor may prescribe a safer medication for your problem.

Best Wishes,

Sue

Sorry to assert I have. My pal were given preggos on the dep.. There are some unusual indicators that contain the shot. truthfully take a multivitamins and b12 accepted and it is going to look after lots of them.
