If it can't balenced (an i can't get it to do so!) please help me understand why!

Uh Na2OH is not possilbe since OH is a negative one charge that is why your unable to balance it

Hint- Think of the H20 as HOH

Now, you should be able to balance this equation on your own unless someone decides to do the work for you and doesn't want you to learn.

Also- I think you mean to put parenthesis around the OH and then a little two after it, like this, (HO)2
