i heard it was a knee on knee but didn't see it the refs didn't award a match penalty and thus no word on a suspension but there was a cross check in a game to a goalies throat that WOULD of started a 20 minute bench clearing brawl back in the 80's. This is why there should be an enforcer and get rid of that stupid instigation penalty. Now next time the teams will get even more chippier (and there were a few fights in that game as well) and suspensions will probably result from that one. Makes for an interesting series now the rest of the way.

No the league is not going to suspend Liles. Personally I don't think it was an intentional knee, and the league made the right decision. It's a rough sport and sometimes your going to get injured or injur someone else, as long as it's not done on purpose it's not disgusting, it's part of the game.
Having said that, Smith was practicing this afternoon, he's playing tomorrow and all he got from the hit was a charley horse anyway. He's not even injured.

I don't think Liles did it on purpose. He isn't a dirty play. He plays hard but clean. It's a shame though. I like Ryan Smyth. He's practicing all ready though so hopefully everything is okay.

pondering the Avs already traded for Erik Johnson final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, its a stable pass on their section. they have a stable D guy who will in all threat be a protracted term shop. The Avs would desire to %. up a severe goalie. They traded away their destiny while they gave up on Craig Anderson.
