It's in their narcissistic nature. But society has changed, so they try to cope with minority groups as best they can: by putting up a good image of themselves in front of people when its in their best interest.

Dont think there is a larger percentage of White racists than any other race. I think it is seen as a White issue in the Western world becuase Whites are generally the majority, and largely hold power. Therefore in the Western world White racists are ore noticable and more serious because they have the ability to exhert real power from their position in society.

The question that you should've asked is:
"Why are people racist?"
Because in Black, White Indian, Asian, Hispanic and other cultures all people have the capacity to be racists. I once a knew a guy from Britain that hated Germans both are Anglo countries...wtf? So that goes to show you that you can't base it on color...I suggest getting out of your circle of friends and try to meet other people of different cultures you'll see that there is a lot you're missing out on.

1. People are afraid of what's different and they don't understand.
2. It's what their parents taught them.
3. They have a good reason- they were mugged, terrorists, and the a*holes of each culture screw it up for the good people: racial profiling
The only thing that you can do is be a good person, don't keep grudges, and keep an open mind.

For goodness sake, please stop it with the ridiculous generalizations! This may come as a huge surprise to you, but these whites that you speak of are not the only group that are guilty of spreading racist beliefs. Some blacks, hispanics, asians...hey I could go on and on...can sometimes be just as stupid!
