i'd like to add this after reading some answers: i consider it neither a disease nor any type of disorder. i believe it is genetic. trust me i dont choose to be this way coz life would just be easier being straight.

Its hard at first for anyone to handle this but you have to bring the truth out someday or the other.atleast you should reveal this truth to your best friends since it would hurt them the most but if they would understand your true feelings they would remain with you.then ofcourse your parents but this is one thing which is tough news to break but one thing for sure they would never break relationship with you.and as time comes they would come to an understanding and everything will sort out at the end.
I know its tougher to do than say but you goto to talk this step if not now than trow.
All the very best and remember its your life!!

Being a gay is not a crime. When the society is still in non-accepting mood, you are forced to keep your feelings secret. But your attitude and behaviour can't be hidden. However I want to suggest you to divert your mind towards other avenues of life. First of all stop thinking that you are a gay. Start doing yoga exercises and pranayama methodically. Read books on philosophy and spiritualism. Keep the mind away from the feelings that you are a gay since you are not a gay. Develop a positive attitude. By following this method, a friend of mine is normal now enjoying married life with two children, Gayness is a boon derived from the abnormal attitudes that developed from the adolescent period. It is not a disease but a disorder. The disorder can be brought to orderliness if efforts are made with real zeal and sincerity. Good luck!

Gosh, that must be hard. I say you withhold those feelings for a few good years. As expected, people may lash at you and think you are crazy.

it sounds like you'll have to remain "in" for a while.
but maybe you can work toward open-mindedness and acceptance in small ways, without threatening your standing.
