He said he will not where his gold ever again because he felt it was disrespectful to the Hurricane Katrina survivors. After he witnessed the damage in Louisiana he said he'd never wear it again-but I don't know if he sold it or not-my guess is maybe he did and donated the money toward the hurricane Katrina relief.

After he saw all the devastation from hurricane Katrina he gave up wearing the gold. Instead of spending it on jewelry he is helping victims get back on their feet.
