There are thousands of mutts and purebred dogs that look like pit bulls to those who have no idea of what a pit bull is to begin with. So before you rush out to vote.... keep in mind one simple statement made by this Rudy Guiliani " He has expressly stated that he believes Pit Bulls should be exterminated. He tried to pass a law in MF imposing very strict regulations against Pit Bulls. He has made no secret of the fact that he despises Pit Bulls. He wanted to ELIMINATE HEARINGS on dangerous dogs and let cities DESTROY pets without such a hearing." . First of all what constitutes a pit bull in his eyes? A look? Your breed may fall under his irration bull **** logic too if he has emotions like this as he stated. So where does your dog fall into this category!? Is it a pit bull? Or does it simply look like one? I don't care who ELSE you support for President, but I urge all dog owners to vote NO to Rudy Guiliani and to spread the word far and wide. We have a year to get the word out to dog lovers everywhere. DISPLAYING ABSTRACT - New York City Mayor Giuliani administration trains its quality-of-life sights on city's dogs with bill that would increase fines for harboring dogs deemed to be dangerous, deny dogs any consideration for being provoked into barking or biting, and require owners of pit bulls to obtain $100,000 in liability insurance before being granted dog license

I'm also wondering -- so under his regime, if a serial murderer breaks into your home and tries to kill you, and your dog BITES the would-be killer, your dog is deemed dangerous without a hearing and euthanized?

I agree, vote no on this and any other bill that discriminates against a dog based on breed. There are wonderful pitbulls, they are nice friendly dogs by nature. It is bad owners who ruin these dogs, they train them to be mean but don't teach them to be under control. If they start with pit bulls they will follow up with rottweilers and many other breeds who are good dogs made mean by bad owners. A dog who is vicious and bites people should be destroyed regardless of the breed.

Well it is true that pit bulls have a tendency to like to bite, but I did have a pit bull that did not bite people. He bit other dogs, I had to put him to sleep because of that, he was a good obedient dog, but those instincts I could not get out of him, even with a lot of outside help from a trainer. I don't think this is something to worry about when you vote, you are voting for the best candidate that will help your country or and your state.
One thing to those who have pit bulls, do not move to Miami, they are illegal there, just a note.

No matter how HE feels on the issue, I don't think he could actually affect laws regarding pit bulls even if he was elected. At least I hope not. Pit bulls are wonderful animals.

Although I don't share his disdain for pit bulls and am an avid dog lover, this issue is no where near a priority for me in a presidential election.

Animal control is more of a local level law issue, if you have issues or laws for animal control this facist, it obviously will be taken up on a city council or county level.
