They make a grunting sound when upset. They thump their foot when they want attention or to signal that they are frightened. The grind their teeth when they are happy and getting loved. The scream and ear piercing shriek when they are in great pain or in fear of their life. They growl when they are being aggressive. I've heard everything but the scream from my rabbit, but heard that from some wild ones around here.

Rabbits only make a sound when they are being hurt. It sounds like a baby screaming.

Well thumping is what you hear no matter what, try pounding the floor with your heel or fist very hard (don't hurt yourself!) then multiply that by 5. They also grunt which means they are angry and a shrill scream means they are hurt or dying. They also grind their teeth; if it's softly it means they are happy (equal to a cat's purr) but if it's loud it means they're in pain

Rabbits are generally pretty quiet animals. They do growl (some do) if they get scared or are threatened though. Kind of like a cat.

They can squeal.
Especially when frightened, injured or in danger.
hard to describe, though. Kind of like a small pig's squeal. . .
