let t be the tens digit and o be the ones digit

t + o = 12
t = o + 2

substitute

(o + 2) + o = 12

gather like terms

2o = 10

divide by 2

o = 5

substitute this value into the equation t = o + 2

t = (5) + 2

t = 7

Since t = 7 and o = 5, 75 is the correct answer good work!

y-2=x
x+y=12

Sub y-2 for x in 2nd equation
y-2+y=12
2y=14
y=7, x=5
Checking 7+5=12 and 7 is 2 greater than 5

By the way, what's Further it's redundant to say it's an odd number.

represent the number using expanded notation so
so a + b = 12
and a = 2 + b
subsitute a with 2 + b
2b + 2 = 12
2b = 10
b= 5
a = 2 + b = 7
so yes 75
