I personally like cashmere better because it's soft and comfortable. But that coat is REALLY nice and I'd love that too!! Either way I think she'd be happy!!

You know what, clothing someone is going to wear often, like a coat is a personal choice. Why not take her shopping and let her choose.
I'd choose a cashmere coat any day over faux fur. But that also depends on age and taste.

Personally, I'd rather have a high-quality cashmere cardigan (in a color that looks good on me, of course) than a new coat. But then, I much prefer wool coats over fur, real or faux.

A cashmere sweater would go over nicely, more luxurious; where as faux fur tends to come across as *cheap*.

cashmere. It's like the gold of fabrics.
and faux fur is always tacky.
