I find tickets work best for everyone, for all occasions. Last holiday, I bought movie tickets, tickets for dinner shows, a gift certificate for the Daytona Speedway...and everyone was psyched. You don't have to spend a lot. Movie tickets are cheap as are tickets to local theater productions. Actually, matinees for large productions are fairly reasonable, too.

Stuffed animals and candy make great gifts for anyone, so that's what I'm buying. For Christmas I only asked for money because I am going to Sweden in 4/5 months and will need a lot to stay there a while.

I don't care if I receive anything...honestly. I love buying for people, especially if I KNOW it's the perfect gift! Money has been tight, so I haven't put much thought into what I'm buying, yet. Except for my Mom. She's so easy to buy for. She loves decorating and house things, so I have quite a few ideas for her! She's the most important, anyway!

If you have a lot of friends, it's good to do a secret Santa so that you only have to buy one present and everybody gets something.
But......
For girls- Stuff from 'Bath and Body Works' are always safe and so is jewelry
For family- It's good to go with themes, like make something for everyone, etc.
