So I recently found out that calculus will most likely not be offered next year as part of the ontario curriculum. I personally am disgusted by the fact that a whole course would be removed just because a lot of students fail it. I mean, how is that fair to students like me, who are genuinely interested in learning the subject? Now I won't have the chance to study the most profound math theories until university. I have a cake course next semester that I could switch out of, if there is a calculus course offered during the same period or I could teach it to myself, since I have the text book on disc (my sis gave it to me in case they got rid of the course...I'm glad she did). Which plan do you think will be best?

take class, easier. plans to study math on cd less solid (for most people), than having to do it every day in class. (learned 80% of my calculus the night before the AP test, got a 5 out of 5)

i will assume you have completed all necessary prerequisites for calculus. i would say about half of all college calculus (1st semester) students who think they are ready for calculus are NOT.

next, if you are ready and the class is not available at your high school, take the course at a junior college, college, or university.

i do not recommend calculus classes online.

now, if you teach yourself, i would recommend that you take the calculus course your first semester as well.

marcus j is jealous because you can SPELL calculus.

But you should try an online course. It's easier than trying to teach yourself. Still not as good as taking a class, but since you can't do that it's probably the next best option.

Take an online college course that offers calculus. This will help you to get the benefit of taking it and you will be able to get help if you need it.

Thats too long to read. But I'm taking Calculus and yo my main man, its mad beasty. I have this teacher who is the devil incarnate, red hair and everything. But she can be hot sometimes. But yo, if you teach if yourself, make sure you ask questions to people who are taking Calculus, it can/will be tough. Good Luck.
