dont worry about it now but when she/he comes back tell them how you fell about the situation and make them feel bad dont let him/her go that easily. that is why i say dont trust friends with everything there is no true friend but yourself.

First if they were your true best friend, they would not have done so. I am interested though on what did bring this about. What is so bad or what could have happened to cause this.
Are you losing any sleep over it? If so they you should talk and try to resolve this if possible.
If not, then I feel you all were not really that good of friends, and sorry about that.
