A bass guitar's sound is much lower and is responsible for the underlying basic rhythym of the song. A regular 'treble' guitar is much easier to distinguish.

The bass is a lot easier to learn. Plus bass players totally get more chicks.

Your average guitar is 6 strings, (EADGBE) and your average bass is 4 strings (EADG). The bass's notes would be an octave lower than the guitar's. I think that you should learn acoustic guitar first. This would make it easier to pick up an electric guitar, and if you were interested, a bass. Drums are a totally different subject, and you should only try that if you have good rhythm. There is no "easier" instrument, because the guitar has an infinite number of chords, bass is just....hard, and drum rudiments (and such) can get difficult as well. However, on a beginner level, I would recommend the guitar, because it would be easier to play songs familiar to you on the guitar than if you were to play bass or drums. Either way, all three instruments are rewarding and fun to play, so good luck!

The regular guitar has 6 strings, tuned from low to high, E-A-D-G-B-E.
The Bass Guitar has 4 strings (some have 5, but 4 is the standard), and they're much thicker--resulting in a much bassier sound---tuned to E-A-D-G, but a couple octaves lower than the regular guitar.
Example of a famous bass guitar riff?--the opening of "Money" by Pink Floyd...just so you understand the difference in sound.
Learn regular guitar FIRST...you could easily learn bass later once you know that.

A bass guitar is to a guitar as a Double bass is to a violin.

It is bigger, has four strings cf 6 or 12, is played on individual strings (mostly) cf chords, has a much lower tone.

It is part of the rhythm section (with the drums) and drives the beat while the guitar palys the melody.

A guitar has 6 strings and you mostly play cords and bass has 4 strings and you usually play single notes

I play both bass and guitar in my opinion you should should get a bass if you are a beginner.
Bass is much easier to learn but harder to master and guitar is sort of the opposite.

The number of strings, bass only has four. I like the sound of both, it depends on your preference. My cousin plays bass and guitar and my brother plays guitar and drums they are both self taught!
