What other areas interest you? It's always good to have a back up career field if you are an actor or a writer like I am.
Don't think you're alone either. Harrison Ford originally turned down the role of Han Solo because he was making more money doing carpentry work than that job paid.

Have you ever auditioned for a play, show etc? Look for auditions in craigslist.org (or .com) or any other entartainment magazines, newsletters. Another option is becoming an extra by signing up at your local agency. Although extras don't need to act, alot of extras have been discovered by agents and become serious actors, Examples: Bruce Willis, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck. I hope this helps.

If the problem is that you have discovered that you cant act.
then by all means, find something els.
If, on the other, the problem is one of work, or rather the lack of it,
then you need analyse what it is you are doing or not doing to find work as an actor.
If you are going to every casting call listed in the trades, every
audition that you here about and still not getting work, then maybe it is time to do something else.
Or maybe you should work harder.

It's very difficult these days for actors in a very competitive business to maintain steady work; but if you have an agent who is working for you, then by all means continue to keep striving. It is, however, important for you to maintain those necessities such as food, clothing and shelter.
Have you thought of applying for work with a temporary agency while you are still striving to achieve your acting career? If you have any administrative and office skills, there are several temporary agencies that will place you on assignments that can last from one day to one or two weeks, and for months or years at a time, depending upon their available positions. If you don't have office skills, don't despair, for there are many temporary agencies that place people on jobs requiring other skills. Many actors in Los Angeles and in New York City rely on temporary job assignments which afford them the opportunity to make some money while auditioning and seeking out roles that would eventually establish them within the acting profession.
Temporary jobs may often lead to permanent positions; or else they may direct you to an opportunity that could be to your liking. Many temporary agencies also search out permanent jobs for their clients, if said client wants to remain with a particular company they were assigned to by the agency; or else, an agency has a permanent job search branch within the office. It all depends on what you, the prospective client, would like to do.
As an actor who is considering searching out a so-called "normal" job or career, it would probably be best for you to weigh your decision very carefully and search out jobs that offer some degree of creativity. Actors are creative people and that creativity may readily be transferred into other jobs such as, for example: public relations and publicity positions; writing screenplays, books, or magazine articles; movie and television reviewing, product demonstration, and advertising, to name a few. Writing on-line articles and creating website designs are also very lucrative ways for people to exercise their creative abilities.
Think it out carefully for yourself as to exactly what you want to do. Always remember that it takes time for an actor to establish one's self... it takes countless auditions, small stage roles, bit roles; etc. etc., until that break comes. But until that break comes, yes... you do have to do something else; but you don't have to abandon your goals altogether.
Good luck and I hope this helps.
