In Major Leauge baseball there is a 40 man roster. Only 9 men are on a field at once(for one team not the other).

Football rosters have 53 players, while baseball rosters have 25. The 40 man roster is during spring training.

For football, there's about 30 players. Baseball, (how is this in American baseball too?), about 35. That's just a guess.
