depends on your circumstances. Ialways think that it's better to have the kids early when your reproductive health is good, and you have more energy to bring them up, you are also a lot younger when they go away.. but each to his own.

Well, that depends on many factors like if you have a demanding career or are starting off in a good job you might want to wait until you are stable enough in it. Or you can look at it this way... the longer you wait, the older you will be when your kids finally give you that opportunity for you and your husband to really spend time with one another and go places like when you first started being a couple. Of course some say you will be more mature and wiser if you wait but all depends on how you see yourself now which really has nothing to do with age (if you are at least over 21) I would always calculate how old I would be when my kids would reach certain milestones and how old each one would be from each other depending on how I chose to space them out, which helps if you need a trusting babysitter! You can look at it from all angles.

It depends on what you mean by delay. My husband and I are 20 and 21. I had our son when I was 19, and I love it. We both do. But it also depends on your living situation and I guess your goals. If you are younger, I don't feel there is any reason to wait based alone on age. I love the idea of being a younger parent and being with out son.

Depends on what delaying means?

If you and you spouse are ready to have babies then go for it. Just a reminder having a baby is the hardest job in the world and even though you do not get paid for it, it is the most rewarding. You have to think about the stability of your relationship, money. Being able to love comes naturally during the pregnancy and right after the baby is born and keeps on growing as your baby does.
But if you and your spouse are having doubts about starting a family then I would wait.

My sister waited until she was 30 before she had her first kid then had her second at 33. She said that it was the best decision she ever made. She had a PHD and her own private practice, and her husbands construction company had 8 years under his belt, so when they had their babies they were totally financially stable and were able do tweak their schedules the way they wanted to for kid stuff.
My other sister on the other hand had her first at 17 and her second a year later and is grateful that she had them so young because she still had the maximum energy level to chase them around and handle the sleep deprivation!
I had my first babies at 23 and my third a year later and it has been really hard on me. So I say do it when you are young enough to handle it well physically or wait until you are older and can afford to hire some help!
