You shouldn't feel your child move until you are 18 to 24 weeks along. I felt my baby move at 19 weeks. And it hasn't stopped then but I haven't felt it in my ribs. I'm just now 26 weeks and 1 day. But like theother gir said I would go to your doctor or another doctor and tell them this. Make sure they don't blow you off about it. There might be something wrong.

Wow this is an interesting question. But I do have one other question for you: have you missed your period? and if so, how many days late are you? This might help determine whether or not you are pregnant, and if so, how far along you are.
The other issue is that you have four positive HPTs (home pregnancy tests). The only two things besides pregnancy that can cause a false positive test is 1) a rare but serious tumor in your reproductive tract that creates the same hormone as if you were pregnant and 2) taking certain fertility drugs. Since we know you weren't taking fertility drugs, I'd say you need to make an appointment at the ob-gyn RIGHT AWAY and tell them everything you told us.
I do agree with the other commenters that you must follow the instructions on the HPTs carefully, but it sounds like you did this.
PLEASE go to Planned Parenthood to see a doctor right away. You won't need your mom's permission and it will be free if you have low or no income. Please don't wait to look into this because this could be serious!
Good luck and let us know how it all turns out!

You might want to try a different kind of HPT. Some of the "best" ones are not so good. Go for a cheepie. They do work. If you still get a positive in the appropriate time frame, I would get a second opinion from a different doctor. Call your family care doctor or county health department and request a blood test.
I don't know about the feeling of pressure on your ribs. If you are pregnant, you should not be having pressure on your ribs at just a few weeks.
Hope that helps you.

If the doctor determined you to be not pregnant, but all of your home tests are still pos....you need to go back ASAP so you can get the propper care of the situation, something else might be causing your symptoms.
Also, re-read the directions on the home tests. You should get results within like 3 minutes, but if the test sits by the sink for a while, a faint line might show up, but the test is overprocessed, not reading positive.

Since everyone else has given advice on the medical aspect, I will address the financial. First you said,"but i know i could care for a child financially." That led me to think you have a job that's paying you at least a grand a week, or perhaps you were getting the benifits of a large trust fund. Later on however you talked about your mother not paying for a simple doctor appointment so you were not going. Sorry but to me this spells financial trouble and the kid has not even been born. Have you ANY idea of how much it costs to PROPERLY raise a kid these days!!! I don't think you do and I strongly suggest you look at either abortion or adaption before you "bog down" your life with a kid; one who it appears will wind up being supported by your mother.

I had an tumor on my ovary. I had very similar symptoms. They found the tumor by doing a pelvic ultrasound. Not fun, but I am glad they did. Because I was wanting a baby and unable to conceive. Almost a year to the day from when they took the bad ovary out, I had my son. The tumor was causing all kinds of problems. It was the size of a grapefruit, but benign. It however was messing with my hormone levels, etc, hence the false positive pregnancy tests, and no menstrual cycle. I would definitely suggest getting to a gynecologist if at all possible.

i would try another doctor just to get a second opinion. There are lots of clinics around now a days that do free testing. Also its a little early to start feeling a baby pushing on your ribs if you are pregnant. I didnt start to feel my little one till i was 18 weeks. But yeah get a second opinion because it may end up being something more serious that you need to get taken care of. Good Luck with everything!

I believe the best way for you is seeking for a second test from another doctor.
Pregnancy test may have false positive reading, also, the test you did in the doctor's office may have false negative reading. I have the experience of some cheap ovulation test and told me that my husband was also ovulating.
What you mention about those symptoms are very common early pregnant symptoms, also may cause by mental distress and imagination pregnancy.

I would contact dr again. Tell them about the home test results. Don't panic though, if you are there are people out there that you can talk to if your mum isn't there for you. There is also the chance that the home tests are wrong. Just take one step at a time. But I would call dr before I did anything else.
GOOD LUCK

You need a second opinion. Go to a different doctor. It would also be way too soon to feel your baby at your ribs even hunched over. Im 21 weeks(with my 4th baby) and I cant feel her right now. I can feel her move, but your uterus would only be up to your bellybutton by the time your 20 weeks.
