If you are asking people to tell you how to be emo than you are poser, especially if you are trying too. Emo is not the same thing as goth and doesn't even require black clothing as they would put it. And just because your emo doesn't mean you cry all the time and cut yourself. I'm not trying to be mean I'm just honest. You are poser.

Hey, first, what you really want is to be stronger, you want people to like you and respect you, right. It is not the clothes or the mask you wear, it is your personal strength. How to be stronger, always speak the truth even if you are laughed at, have no shame of who you are, have little pride too. Only pursue a mate for love, one out of your league, (never below you), get in touch with your emotions and express them through an art form, music, paint, acting etc...do the things that scare you, especially the ones with people, face your fears of people, look them in the eye, let them see you, they will look into your soul automatically, if it is strong they will respect you.
but mostly honesty,,,never hide your flaws, show and accept them, this is liberating......

emo is not something you want to become cutting ones self can do serious harm. being an emo is no way to change peoples perspective of you
