Are we really just living in a computer program and waiting for Zion? Is that real air we are breathing? Someone please clarify.

I have no way of knowing. My life seems real to me, but then what is "real" anyway?

Strangely enough that is exactly what it's like, maybe not with the
Hollywood theatrics but just as imaginary. The only reality that your inner self will attest is real is the spiritual realm, from which springs all the manifested creation. I'm not talking about religion
or even a God concept just the inner knowledge that if you sit and
ponder long enough will become self evident to you, we are not
what we see and feel physically, we are that entity that looks out
from inside ourselves. Our bodies are no more than fictitious shells fabricated from an atomic matrix which in terms of true
atomic mass have only minuscule weight and actual atomic
matter that would only occupy a pin prick size whole in reality. While it is true that our human form is 99% non existent
nothingness, we perceive that we are so many inches tall and
weigh so many pounds and our eyes are this color or that, while
in terms of real reality they don't even exist. The really strange
part of real reality is that all we see on earth and in the skies
is for the most part not even there, but no more that some atomic
material gathered in clusters as a charade.

We are living in the land called Maya or illusion. It is not our real home. All the souls here left the spiritual world because they envied God's position. (only 1/4 Th the souls come here) We are taking illusion to be reality until we surrender to the Absolute Truth. As long as we try to enjoy this place we will be in illusion. Its air we are breathing, but the air is a material element . If you want reality one should chant the Maha Mantra or the Great Mantra for deliverance. What do we want to be delivered from? The material illusion and all misery. Go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com/chanting_hare_krishna.htm complete details there on the mantra and how to get out of illusion

in a way we are kinda like machines, our brain interprets the information that comes in from the senses to make a perception of what 'real' is. there is much we dont experience: light outside of the visual spectrum (UV, infrared, X...), sounds outside of our range of hearing (dog whistles), we dont smell very well at all. we are bodily in a real world, but we live in a interpretted one. each of our realities are for the most part similar (red is red to everybody) but everything that we've got in this world is in our heads.

Those who went before us had no knowledge of computers, so no. You are mistaken.

Your task is to find purpose in your life, and to be a contributor to the betterment of mankind.

Seek, and you shall find!
