I love Christmas Your right Family is the best part. Being close to each other. Gathering around the table. Watching the kids eyes sparkle as they spy to see what good old saint Nick brought them. The Christmas Music playing throughout the day. My family tried to make it last by playing family games in the day following as well. There are too many reasons to love the holiday :) Being from a big family, I too am expecting more than 20 people. Can't wait. Ooh and then there is New years eve And then we really party :) Happy Holidays Everyone

Christmas should be about family and appreciation, not how much money we can spend. If I had my way, Christmas would be about getting together with family and friends. The gift would be homemade, made out of love. Nothing bought from the store to cause anyone financial hardship. Just the great dinner, great friendship and caring. Thats what I wish Christmas was all about! (I love to get together with my family, but this madness of shopping and spending way more than any of us can afford is out of hand, we as people need to rethink Christmas and not let the media or stores do it for us.) Merry Christmas!

I love Christmas, it's like such a joyful season, the decorations, that holiday time just makes me feel good. Yet, with stores playing Christmas music and putting up decorations up like in October-they are draining the fun and meaning out of Christmas-which is to rejoice Christ birth, and spend it w/family. Not going shopping or what ever else.

I used to love Christmas, but after 20 years of being a Chef, I now hate it with a passion!!!!!
Most Chef's have to work Christmas Eve, Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and Day so we don't really get to have Christmas, we're bloody cooking it for somebody else!!!!

Bah Humbug!!

when I was a kid I really loved the build up the christmas and didnt see it as commercial or too overpowering. now, as an adult, i find shops have their christmas displays as soon as summer is done with and there is so much retail persuasion that it kills the christmas I fondly remember.

I love it. I wish I had a bigger, closer (in distance) family to be with. Can I come over? Your place sounds like fun :-)
