I don't have a cat, yard is fenced. It probably flew into the glass door, hurt itself and died. BUT, i can't help thinking of all those superstitions. Please tell me how ridiculous they are. Kinda nervous about it.

Something very similar happened to me two weeks ago.I found a dead bird on my front stoop. It didn't appear to be injured and it looked like it was asleep. But ,it wasn't.I'm not a superstitious person,so I don't know anything about that.I do know that a few years ago all of the crows in our area died as a resulty of west nile virus.I suspect the dead bird I found, might have been sick from something like that.

superstitious about what? Usually when dead animals are on the porch or back porch as the case may be, it is from domesticated animals bringing a gift around. Have you fed any cats in the neighborhood? If you haven't, I seriously doubt that the bird monster is out to get you, or a bird curse of some sort. Puhhleeeaasseee.

Oh No! I read about this. I believe it is in this really HUGE book and in the chapter called- Revelations. ... come on ladies, girls,...whatever! Here is a great idea. Next time you are outside with your hair-up. Make sure it is not held with all those berry looking covered beads...so next time the phone rings and you run in to get it-just leave the sliding glass door open. Wait, I've really' go-it!!! Put up a scarecrow so the dad-blame thing will die- flying into someone else house and spare you this extreme and traumatic experience.
