Most likely not

Each manufacturer participating in NASCAR accumulates points depending on where their makes place in each race. At the end of the season the manufacturer with the most points is awarded the manufacturer's championship. Lots of bragging rights.

At one time Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac were all competing against themselves for manufacturers points.

This is mostly why GM stopped supporting the other makes and now only supports Chevrolet.

General Motors does not want to compete against itself for manufacturers points.

Have you read the auto Business news lately? Detroit is in cut back mode. Racing programs cost money. Big money. GM looses money on the Monte Carlo. They don't sell on Monday anymore. No Pontiac return expected. I'm still shocked they run Firebirds still in IROC.......

Probably not. The only way would be if GM were to become much more profitable again, and wanted to get some more exposure for their "excitement" division.
