I own a 2006 with a stage 2 kit.

The cobalt is underrated by chevy. If you want the "magazine numbers then the one gentleman here is correct. It is 236 and 241 respectivley.

However, these numbers are based off of the 205 horseower rating at the motor that was underrated. The cobalt actually has roughly 230+ horse at the motor from the factory, which would bring the car to 260+ horse with the stage one and 265+ horse with the stage two kit in the car. These numbers are being quite a bit conservative as well. There are guys dynoing 245+ at the wheels with the stage two kit. this equates to 269 horse at the motor with a 10% drivetrain loss and drive drain loss is usually aroun 14% for a manual transmission. With 14% loss it would be roughly 280 at the motor witha stage 2 kit. GM claism to take .7 seconds off the quartermile time with a stage two kit...which isn't going to happen with adding just 35 horsepower.

Stage one is a nice upgrade if you are getting a different pulley as it has the same programming and injectors as the stage 2 kit.

Stage two is the injectors and PCM programming, but they take out the 3.3" pulley and replace it with a 3.0" pulley. I hit 12 PSI before the stage 2 kit and now I am at 16PSI. They also increase your rev limiter from 6400RPM's to 7000RPM with the reprogramming.

Hope this helps!

The stage 1 only comes with larger fuel injectors and a calibration of the ECU.

The stage 2 upgrade will come with everything the stage 1 comes with, but it will also have a smaller supercharger pulley and a smaller belt.

The stage 1 should bring the HP up to around 236HP. And the stage 2 brings it up to around 241HP.
