In NY, a favorite and local radio station ALWAYS plays it at noon on thanksgiving day. Even though we've all moved away, true NYers listen to it on the web each and every thanksgiving. All the events take place on Thanskgiving Day and it just because the tradition on Long Island. For as long as I could remember we would sprint to the subway back to the car parked in Queens to make sure we were in the car at 12pm sharp!

It all started on Thanksgiving, two Thanksgivings ago when a friend of mine I decided to visit Alice at the Resturant. Alice does not live in the resturant, she lives in the church near by the resturant with her husband Ray and Facha the dog. Living in the church like that and having all the room down stairs where the pews use to being, they did not have to empty their garbage for quiet sometime...

I don't know why it's considered a tradition on Thanksgiving, but they sure have been playing it for along time, on Thanksgiving day. It's a long song, I know that much.
