anybody excited about the movies for the christmas holiday? personally im not, there saccarine and hokey, with the exception of a select few (Christmas Story and Nightmare Before Christmas)

I agree w/your choices. Here are some that might appeal to kids as well:
There is, of course, "The Santa Clause" (I and II), Look Who's Talking Now (W/Kirstie Allie & John Travolta- the dogs talk and part of it takes place at Christmas). My kid always loves those old "Clay-mation" movies, like "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and several others like it.
If you like Will Farrell, there's always "Elf", and "Jingle All the Way" (w/Arnold, Sinbad and the late Phil Hartman), is VERY funny!
My personal fave is "A Christmas Story", based on the book by Jean Shepherd. They show it on TNT every Christmas for 24 hrs.! It's great because it's hilarious and touching and both adults & kids can enjoy it.

I like Christmas Story too. Its very cheesy but a classic. I like watching Christmas movies with my daughter cuz it gets her all excited for Christmas which in turns gets me hyped up for it too.

I can't wait to see my favorite movie of all time, It's A Wonderful Life. I love that movie and of course, all the Home Alone movies. It's tradition to watch those. Nightmare Before Christmas, are you kidding me??
