It won't be very early if you had the baby at 36 weeks. The baby would probably be ok if it came then. All the walking in the world won't make labor come if your body is not ready. The real question is will you feel up to walking that much when you are 36 weeks. Don't eat too much salt at Thanksgiving...it will make you bloat and make you much more uncomfortable during your shopping.

Great question. Walking and keepin active is the best for you and your baby. The baby will stay where it is until he is ready to come. I worked as a waitress up intil I was 36 weeks and even after that I was called into work a few shifts. My membranes stripped naturally 2 weeks prior to when the ultrasound figured I was due. If you keep that in mind you will be fine. And if you deliver at 36 weeks the chances that your baby has something wrong is very slim. Just relax and everything will be fine.

Your baby will come out when he's ready, no matter how much walking around you do or how much eggplant parmagiana you eat or how much pineapple juice you drink...don't worry about it.
Walking around will do you good, and it might be your last big shopping trip for awhile because you'll be so busy after your baby comes. Just make sure you wear really comfy shoes and sit down whenever you need to, because at 36 weeks you are bound to be uncomfortable no matter what you do. Congrats!

i don't think it would be a problem unless your doctor has told you not to...walking is a way to help speed up labor but it doesn't always work the best...i'm 39 weeks and i've been walking for about 3 weeks now and nothing has happened...the doctors encourage you to walk...they say that it will help you in the end (during labor) it's supposed to make it easier for you and the baby...so i say go for it!

Your little guy won't come until he's ready. I'm 38 weeks and the doctor wants me to have the baby now (she's getting too big) and all she tells me to do is walk walk walk. All I seem to do is walk, walk, walk, and this baby still won't come out. Walking won't hurt you and won't bring on labor if your body is not ready to handle it, or your baby is not ready to come out. Take advantage of the expecting parking spots and shop till you drop

You will be fine! Just rest more and take it slower. Instead of running right into the next store, stop at the snack bar and have a pretzel and water (or something you like) and use the benches they put throughout the stores. You would need to take it slower and rest more, but I think you would be fine! Especially since you are 4 weeks away, it's not like it is your due date or anything. I think you would be fine! Good Luck!

Walking only helps to bring on labor if your body and your baby are ready.
Unless your doctor tells you something different, walking is safe and even recommended all the way up until delivery.

haha...no your fine to walk around as much as you want. I was still working upto 38 weeks, and i have complications. HOWEVER, don't over do yourself. Don't run and jump over people!! Trust me, they will part the ways for you. If you do feel any cramping ( i assume this is your first..they will feel like period cramps) Sit down and drink LOTS of water. They should go away! But, you dont have ANYTHING to worry about!!
good luck!

Unless you are on restrictions from your Dr. due to complications, there is no reason walking would induce labor. Its quite beneficial actually.
