For 1, Yahoo Answers is awesome, just discovered if a few days ago myself & the thot of the slight competition edge trying to improve my status & having fun whilst doin it is quite heady.
Failing that, try trickle.com
i-am-bored.com is also good
Yahoo games is cool once u discover a game u have an affinity for. Addiction solitaire is my weakness.

Try snopes.com as well.
With all these, one wonders if i have other things to do besides surf...i do. these are just for the really boring days. Goodluck discovering other great sites!!

For a casual gamer, dragonfable.com is great- it's a flash-browser-based MMORPG, pretty good, great graphics and such.
