Main symbols and weapons of Artemis - The bow, the snake and the deer

Artemis was the greek goddess of the hunt, the childbirth and protector of the young. The Roman name of Artemis is "Diana"
Genealogy of Artemis Greek goddess Artemis was born in Mount Cynthus at the island of Delos in Greece as a daughter of Zeus, the Ruler of the Greek gods and the mortal Leto.

Her twin brother was Apollo, the god of the sun, whereas Artemis' cult was connected with the moon. Artemis had been born before Apollo and had helped her mother Leto to bring Apollo to the world.

Artemis was one of the 3 Virgin Goddesses in Greek mythology. Artemis had absolute sovereignty over nature and was said to bring fertility to all places that worshipped her.

Artemis is typically shown with a bow and arrow (representing the rays of the moon). Artemis was often shown being followed by a fox, stag, leopard, or lion (sometimes both a stag and leopard or both a leopard and a lion).

Most often she is represented by the Crescent Moon (Waxing) which is the one shaped like ")".
She is also represented by the Bow, usually drawn so the curve is in the same direction as the Waxing Moon Crescent.
Additionally she is usually depicted with a deer and dogs.

She has other symbols, but these are her strongest ones.
