A blanket is a large piece of fabric.
A quilt is often small pieces of fabric sewn together in a pattern and then
sewn to a backing with a piece of batting between. The quilting comes in
when you stitch all three layers together using knots or a running stitch.
This can also be done in a fancy design, or outlining the pattern already
present. I love to quilt. It is a traditional art form. It was done from
necessity but now it's art. They make excellent blankets.

a quilt has more than one layer, joined or quilted together to extend the wear of the covering, and make it warmer. a blanket is generally just a single layer. Also, most quilts are inticrately sewn pieces on the front, a middle layer for warmth, and another layer for backing.

a blanket is thinner than a quilt and usually made from just one piece of cloth. A quilt is heavier and usually made from multiple pieces of cloth for the top. It has a filler or batting, then you have the bottom which is usually a solid piece of fabric or yards of fabric sewed together.

See if this enables: A comforter is a thick, quilted, fluffy blanket meant to maintain the consumer heat. that's often packed with guy made fiber filler. A cover is a sort of bedding- a mushy flat bag traditionally packed with down or feathers, or a mix of the two and used on a mattress as a blanket. whilst a Comforter is used in effortless terms as a blanket to maintain one heat, a cover is extensively utilized as bedding. that's a single piece that serves as the two bedding and blanket.
