1) South America is not the same thing as Latin America.
South America is: Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Suriname.
Latin America is any country in America that has a Latin language as the main language.
Not all Latin American countries are in South America and not all South American countries are Latin Americans. There is a country in South America that speaks english: Guyana, but, of course, there is no country in Latin America that speaks english, because of the definition of Latin America.
