I've installed IE7 many times, but nothing changes at all, even though the installation is said to be a success. I've restarted everytime I installed, so that's not it. Before, my computer also refused to change my homepage, but I was able to change it after I rebooted in safe mode. I'm still stuck with the same browser and services even after installing IE7 about seven times. How can I troubleshoot this?

Ok, first of all. The new IE7 isn't as bad as that first answerer said. When I downloaded it I had the same problem. It turned out to be my anitspy program. I use Spy Subtract and I needed to turn off the IE Hijack shield. Once I did this it installed perfectly. Microsoft actually recommends that you disable your antivirus and spyware programs before installing. Keep in mind, it will not tell you why it did not install correctly. Try this and when you restart, you should have a blue e icon with a gold ring around it instead of the solid blue e from the old version. If you see this, it was a success. Hope this helps

my guess is that you need more space on your hard drive
it may be time for a disk defragmenter this can
free up space on your hard drive though
it does take some hours to do, If you go to to my computer on the desktop
click on it , now go to C Local Disk ( C) or C drive right click on it
then go down to properties. Now you should see a little window which will have a circle this circle will be shaded and will show you how much free space or used space you have on your computer
If you need to defragment then go to the tools tag and click on defragment now. i hope this may help you

May God bless you and have a good day

you should be happy about that. most people that are installing it hate it and are going back to ie6. if you want tabbed browsing then forget ie and download firefox http://www.mozilla.com/

you should never install a microsoft windows application when it is first released. microsoft has a bad habit of releasing sotware before they have the bugs worked out. wait a few months then do it.
