What kinds of incentives/projects/etc. would make girls (esp. junior high and high school age) interested in becoming Girl Scouts?

I'll be watching this question. It's the million dollar question.

I don't go along with Nationals Studio 2B idea. To be absolutely honest with you, I think that one of the main reasons girls drop out is that the leaders are burning out. Around here, most leaders start with their daughters as brownies and move up with them. As the girls get older, it becomes more challenging to keep them interested and I believe that the leaders just get plain tired. My daughter is in 10th grade and it has been hard work keeping her interested. Although, now that she is in high school, and has developed that "I don't care what the other kids say" attitude, it has been just a little easier keeping her involved.

As far as getting girls to join in the later years, I really don't think that's going to happen until Girl Scouting becomes "IN" and "Cool".

I would tell them they can join with friends. Cool fundraising, scholarships available(if there are any) cool things that you do around the year. focus on the positive.
