I agree with the person who answered above. TKTS on a Saturday for a very popular musical has very slim chances. However, if you go to broadway.com and scroll to the bottom of the page there is a link that says "Last Minute Tickets" - I would also check there.
Wicked does have a lottery for the front row seats for every performance. The details are as follows (taken from the Wicked website):
A day-of-performance lottery for $25
front-row seats will be held daily for WICKED
at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre
(222 W. 51st St.).
Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time
(11:30 AM for 2 PM matinees; 12:30 PM for
3 PM matinees; 4:30 PM for 7 PM performances; 5:30 PM for 8 PM performances), people who present themselves at the Gershwin Theatre box office will have their names placed in a hat. 30 minutes later, names will be drawn for 28 front-row seats at $25 each. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person, cash only. Photo-ID required.
Participants may enter their names ONE TIME ONLY PER PERFORMANCE; anyone who is discovered to have multiple entries will be disqualified and tickets will be revoked.

RE:
Has anyone used TKTS in Time Square to buy Broadway tickets?
How does it work? Do you just go there the day of the play and try to get a ticket for it? Do they usually have tickets to all shows? I'm trying to get tickets to Wicked for Sat night, what are my chances?

I live in NYC and spend a lot of time going to shows. I would say your chances of getting tickets for a Saturday night performance of Wicked from TKTS this time of year is slim to none. I do have another idea for you though. Most shows don't sell their first row of seats in the theater until the day of the show - they're called "rush" tickets and are usually very cheap (around $25). You have to get to the theater pretty early in the day to get them. I would find out what time the box office opens and try to get there a few hours before. Good luck!

Go to the TKTS booth in Times Square (Broadway and 47th St) the day of the show. Tickets go on sale between 10am-2pm for matinees and 3pm-8pm for evening performances.

How many tickets do you want, and do you need to sit together? I've been very lucky getting one ticket to a show on the day of performance, but if you want 2 seats together, fugetaboutit!
I've also gotten standing row, and throughly enjoyed the show. Sometimes it's like a party, dancing and moving to the music, which is not possible if you're seated.

your chances are nil for getting Wicked tickets from TKTS. They only sell tickets allotted to them from the theatres. Wicked is always sold out, so they never send tickets to TKTS. When I saw Wicked on Broadway, I had to purchase my tickets 4 months in advance.
