Nope.

The only common reactions to the 2-month shots are slight fever, redness at the injection site, and irritability.

You can reduce all of those by giving your child some Tylenol before the shots are given.

It's not at all uncommon, though, for a young child to pick up some other bug around the time of their two-month shots, and for parents to assume that the illness is caused by the shots. In the vast majority of cases, it isn't.

My son got sick like that too. We gave him some tylenol and Motrin after the shots. Actually I belive those were his worse shots, fever wise. Otherwise lately he has been doing better, as he is almost 9 months old now. We'd just give him some medicine, and a nice bath, and a bottle. He did sleep alot more during those couple of days. Good luck, I hope he/she feels better soon.

*Also I would let him lay on me for a bit, he seemed more soothed laying on mommy or daddy for a bit.

Yes he got a lil fever and wasnt feeling to good. But some tylenol will help ease some of that... that is normal after they get there shots. Now if the fever last mre then two days then take him to the hospital.

He got a fever and was very irritable and difficult to put down. He was crying and screaming at times as if he was in pain. When I looked at the Infant Tylenol drops and read the bottle, it said it was commonly used for Immunization pain. So I guess it is normal. Use the Tylenol. It worked for me.

My family doctor was worried about the possible side effects any baby could have by getting shots that early. He did not start giving shots until six months old. My children had their shots at 6, 8, and 10 months instead of 2,4, and 6 months.

No, he just got a fever, so they said to use Tylenol every 4 hrs.

My 2 mth old just had his shots and he didn't get sick, but he did get cranky. Some will get sick, a fever and sore at the injection site, but all babies are different. Talk to your babies doctor.
